The symptoms of allergies to food and air-borne substances may range from mild to severe. There may be congestion, itchy and watery eyes, rashes, difficulty breathing, abdominal pain, vomiting, diarrhea and dizziness. Those with mild symptoms may rely on over-the-counter medications, while others with severe reactions require a doctor’s prescription for medication or allergy shots.
Sometimes allergies are accompanied by asthma, though asthma may be present without allergies. The symptoms of asthma include shortness of breath, tightness in the chest, wheezing, coughing at night, and reduced lung function. Asthma patients often need rescue inhalers, as well as prescribed medication.

Homeopathy provides great support to the treatment of these ailments. During the initial consultation, you will be asked to describe your experience of these symptoms, and then a remedy will be chosen based on your total picture. Homeopathy treats all of you, not just your symptoms. So as you become strengthened internally, your immune system improves; and you will feel better and better.
During homeopathic treatment, you may remain on your traditional medication for as long as necessary. Please note that if you are on prescribed medication and have severe symptoms, you need to work with your doctor to reduce the dosage. Homeopaths are not qualified to reduce prescription medication.
