First a disclaimer: homeopaths do not diagnose migraines or cluster headaches. If you have chronic head pain, you should see your doctor to diagnose and to rule out a more serious illness. Furthermore, you need to go to the emergency room if you have a headache that is the worst you’ve ever had--and especially if it came on quickly. You also need to get to the emergency room if you have a headache with a stiff neck or fever, one associated with head trauma, or one with additional symptoms of confusion, paralysis or a seizure.
If you have visited your doctor for your head pain, and he has diagnosed migraines or cluster headaches, homeopathy can help. It is a safe, effective option to traditional medications, such as Sumatriptan (commonly known as Imitrex). The problem with Imitrex is that it is not recommended for people with hypertension, heart or liver disease. Homeopathy, on the other hand, is safe for anyone, and does not cause dangerous side effects.

There is no one specific homeopathic remedy for chronic head pain. During the homeopathic interview, you will be asked to describe your experience of the pain, and a remedy will be chosen that is specific to you. Since it is chosen on your total picture, it often helps with other things such as energy and mood. The goal with homeopathy is to have you free of head pain, and free from years of medication.
